Add your name to the proposal

We submitted a formal proposal to the Granite School District Board of Education. Sign in support — we will present these signatures at the next board meeting.

📅 Board Meeting: July 7, 2026 · 7:00 PM

The July 7 board meeting is — add your name to be included.

What the proposal asks for

Three practical areas — grounded in student safety, staff clarity, and family trust. The proposal does not ask Granite to adopt a sanctuary policy or take a partisan position.

01

Student Safety & Well-Being

Approved educational materials on safe, lawful conduct. Clear safety and privacy procedures. Transportation guidance when enforcement is near a school or bus stop.

02

Staff Guidance & Training

A district-approved resource list staff can share. Written guidance on what staff may and may not say. Optional training on responding to immigration-related concerns and bullying.

03

Family Resources

District-approved links to nonprofit legal services, community organizations, and translation support. General emergency-planning guidance so families can prepare.

A personal email or call from a constituent — especially before July 7 — makes a real difference. We have put together a dedicated page with every board member's phone number and email, a pre-written message you can copy, a phone script, and talking points.
